A Republic, If You Can Keep It

If there is something to be learned from Covid-19, it is that our Constitution must be defended when under attack from politicians who have forgotten its meaning. This requires constant attention by each and every citizen. There is a story told about a conversation Benjamin Franklin had with a group of concerned citizens (upon exiting the Constitutional Convention) about our newly-formed government: “A republic, if you can keep it.” We aim to keep it. To protect the rights of EVERY individual to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
